What we handle

Access and groups. We keep a one-way protected version of each World Pass code, browser credentials that keep a visit open or remember a pass, and records of the pass’s permitted places, status, expiration, and activations. We do not store the original World Pass code. Approved groups also have membership records and administrator-assigned display names.

Creative and live activity. Studios may handle drawings, uploaded images or audio, notes and instrument events, recordings, and the information needed to keep a shared session in step. Some work stays on your device; some passes through our servers or media providers to reach authorized participants. Saving, sharing, showcasing, or replaying a creation can keep it beyond the live session. Administrators may also publish media.

Operations and safety. Like other online services, our hosting and security systems process basic connection and browser details, requests, and errors. Streaming Schools uses limited, privacy-protected safety records, rough location based on the internet connection—not a person’s precise location—and overall usage totals to operate, secure, and plan the service. Normal infrastructure logs and backups may also exist for a limited period.

How we use it

We use information to admit visitors, preserve the access chosen by an organizer, run creative rooms, deliver intentional sharing, prevent misuse, diagnose failures, understand capacity, and communicate about administration or support. We do not use visitor activity for behavioral advertising or sell it for money.

Your device and your choices

Your browser. Essential cookies and browser storage remember an active visit, a presented pass, creative settings, or locally saved work. Blocking or clearing them may interrupt access or remove work kept only on that device. On a shared device, use the available exit or forget controls and clear locally saved work when appropriate.

Who can see your activity. Entering on your own does not place you in a group roster. After you enter an approved World Together group, its members can see your assigned name, presence, and location within Creative World. Shared studio activity, such as live canvases or instrument performances, may appear automatically to authorized participants according to the experience’s sharing setting. Check that setting before creating something private.

Microphones and cameras. Entering a room or listening does not turn on a device. You choose when to enable a microphone or camera, and your browser may ask for permission. In Piano Studio and Beat Lab, a device preview stays local until you choose Go live. Public sharing of a private music group also requires every musician’s agreement. Circle conversation, private band talk, and performance sharing have separate controls.

Stopping and muting. A live microphone can remain in use by the browser while its sound is muted for listeners. Use the device-off, end-live, or leave controls to stop capture; browser permission controls are also available. Live connections have a final safety cutoff and may end earlier if access is withdrawn or expires. Saved creations are separate from that live connection.

How long information stays

Visits and remembered passes. An active-visit cookie lasts up to 12 hours. A browser may remember a pass for up to 400 days (about 13 months), renewed while it is used. The pass may expire or be revoked sooner, and you can use the forget control or clear that browser’s data.

Creative work and collaboration. Live presence and collaboration records are kept long enough to run and safely close sessions. Pass, group, and deliberately saved or shared records remain until their expiration, removal, or the end of their operational need. Leaving a room does not necessarily delete a saved creation or a copy another participant has kept.

Operations and recovery. Security records, service logs, email records, and backups follow limited operational, legal, fraud-prevention, and recovery needs. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or remove identifying details where reasonably possible.

Service providers

GearMX, Inc. operates StreamingSchools.com. We use carefully selected providers to run parts of the service, including Amazon Web Services for hosting, delivery, email, and video, and Daily for real-time audio and video. These providers process information under their own security and privacy obligations only as needed to provide their services. We may also disclose information when legally required or to protect people, rights, and the service.

Creators of many ages

StreamingSchools.com is for creators of many ages. Younger visitors participate through an authorized adult, school, or organization; adults may use it directly. The responsible adult or organization should provide any required notice and permission before giving a younger visitor access. A parent, guardian, school, or authorized organizer may ask us to explain, correct, or delete information connected with a pass or participant, subject to identity, authority, security, and legal requirements.

Security and changes

We use technical and organizational safeguards designed for the information we handle, including restricted administration and password-free visitor access. No online service can promise perfect security. If our practices materially change, we will update this notice and its effective date and provide any additional notice required by law.
