PRIVACY & SAFETY

Creativity belongs in the spotlight.
Personal data does not.

This notice explains, in plain English, what StreamingSchools.com handles, why it is needed, and when it goes away.

Privacy in a minute

World Passes replace public visitor accounts. We do not sell personal information, run behavioral ads, or build public profiles. Entering on your own does not make you visible or available to other visitors. Shared experiences open only through an approved group, invitation, or deliberate choice.

What we handle

Access and groups. To open the right places, we keep protected versions of pass codes, browser cookies that keep a visit open or remember a pass, and basic records showing whether each pass is active, where it works, when it expires, and its activation count. We do not store World Pass codes themselves. Approved groups may include an administrator-assigned display name and group membership.

Creative and live activity. Many works begin on your device or exist only as temporary visit data. Information is kept longer when someone deliberately saves, shares, showcases, or replays a creation, or when an administrator publishes media. Live audio or video starts only after a participant deliberately joins or allows the needed device permission.

Operations and safety. Like other online services, our hosting and security systems process basic connection and browser details, requests, and errors. Streaming Schools uses limited, privacy-protected safety records, rough location based on the internet connection—not a person’s precise location—and overall usage totals to operate, secure, and plan the service. Normal infrastructure logs and backups may also exist for a limited period.

How we use it

We use information to admit visitors, preserve the access chosen by an organizer, run creative rooms, deliver intentional sharing, prevent misuse, diagnose failures, understand capacity, and communicate about administration or support. We do not use visitor activity for behavioral advertising or sell it for money.

Your device and your choices

Essential cookies and browser storage remember an active visit, a presented pass, local creative settings, or work you choose to keep on that device. Blocking them may prevent the World or a studio from working. Microphone and camera access are off until a participant deliberately turns them on, and browser controls can turn them off again.

World Together rosters and group-only features are limited to the approved group. A creation, performance, or message becomes visible to others only through the sharing choice shown in the experience. Anyone using a shared device should use the available exit or forget controls and clear locally saved work when appropriate.

How long information stays

Cookies that keep an active visit open are short-lived. A browser may remember a pass for up to about 13 months and renew it while it is used, unless the pass is revoked or that browser’s data is cleared. Live presence and collaboration data generally lasts only long enough to run and safely close the session. Pass, group, and deliberately saved or shared records remain until their expiration, removal, or the end of their operational need. Security records, service logs, email records, and backups follow limited operational, legal, fraud-prevention, and recovery needs. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or remove identifying details where reasonably possible.

Service providers

GearMX, Inc. operates StreamingSchools.com. We use carefully selected providers to run parts of the service, including Amazon Web Services for hosting, delivery, email, and video, and Daily for real-time audio and video. These providers process information under their own security and privacy obligations only as needed to provide their services. We may also disclose information when legally required or to protect people, rights, and the service.

Creators of many ages

StreamingSchools.com is for creators of many ages. Younger visitors participate through an authorized adult, school, or organization; adults may use it directly. The responsible adult or organization should provide any required notice and permission before giving a younger visitor access. A parent, guardian, school, or authorized organizer may ask us to explain, correct, or delete information connected with a pass or participant, subject to identity, authority, security, and legal requirements.

Security and changes

We use technical and organizational safeguards designed for the information we handle, including restricted administration and password-free visitor access. No online service can promise perfect security. If our practices materially change, we will update this notice and its effective date and provide any additional notice required by law.
